Bear Runs Away During Attack Because Of A Justin Bieber Ringtone, And It Saves A Russian Fisherman’s Life

Justin Bieber rescues man from bear. Sort of

A brown bear, whose attack on a Russian fisherman was stopped by the singer Justin Bieber.

Igor Vorozhbitsyn had reportedly been walking to a fishing spot in the country’s Yakutia Republic when he was attacked by the animal.

But as he attempted to fight the creature off he was saved by a call on his cell phone which just was Bieber’s hit “Baby” as its ringtone.

And that, it seems, was all it took for the bear to stop its assault and run back into the nearby forest.

Speaking to the Croatian Times Vorozhbitsyn – who escaped only with cuts and bruises to the face and chest – said: ‘I couldn’t believe my luck when the phone went off and he fled.

‘I know that sort of ringtone isn’t to everybody’s taste but my granddaughter loaded it on to my phone for a joke.’

A wildlife expert later commented that it would potentially have been the sudden noise.

‘Sometimes a sharp shock can stop an angry bear in its tracks and that ringtone would be a very unexpected sound for a bear,’ the expert said.
